Gender Norms Survey

Overview
We are recruiting for a research study on how people’s experiences of femininity and masculinity change with age, and how this relates to wellbeing. The survey takes about 20 minutes.

Purpose
Explore how adults of different ages experience femininity and masculinity and how these experiences connect to health and wellbeing.

Who Can Take Part?
Adults in the UK aged 30–90. We may close certain age groups once they are full.

What You’ll Do
After giving consent, you’ll complete a questionnaire of about 100 items covering background information, your views on femininity/masculinity, and your physical and mental health. At the end, you can choose to leave contact details to be invited to annual follow-up surveys for the next 4 years.

Withdrawing
You can stop at any time. If you withdraw before finishing the survey, simply close it. If you withdraw later, email Dr. Matthew Nielson (m.nielson@exeter.ac.uk) and your data and contact information will be deleted.

Benefits and Risks
There are no direct personal benefits, but a £2 charity donation will be made on your behalf. No risks beyond everyday activities are expected.
